Exeter Concert News
The choir travelled to St. David's Church,Exeter on Saturday 19th October where they performed in a concert arranged by Graham and Val Wiiliams, both originally from Swansea. Graham and Val now live in Upton Pyne and the concert was in aid of the Upton Pyne Church Tower Restoration Fund.

The church is a lttle country church the most imortant architectural feature of which is the west tower. The tower is distinguished by statuary figures in canopied niches, Christ, King David and four evangelists. These figures are a rare survival and inuirgent need of skilled conservation.

The choir sang to a packed church who enjoyed a varied programme of male choral singing. The guest soloist was soprano Carolyn Harries who has been a much sought after soloist for more than twenty years and has sung with many choirs and orchestras.

The concert helped to raise £4000 for the restoration fund.
