On Saturday 2nd March 2002 the choir, under the direction of Noel Davies with Clive Phillips at the piano, took part in a St. David's Day concert at the Memorial Hall, Pontyberem. The concert was recorded and transmitted on Radio Cymru on Sunday 3rd March.
The choir's entire programme was in Welsh and included Eric Jones' YFORY, Ryan Lee's YSBRYD Y NOS and Ryan Davies' TROI A THROI (arranged by Eirian Owen). The concert demonstrated the wealth of talent available in Wales and included the soprano Iona Jones accompanied by Lois Davies, who also gave solo recitals on the harp. Sisters Nerys and Llinos Richards from Pembrokeshire, enthralled the audience with exciting duet performances on piano and cello.
Youth was represnted by Sion Owen on the trumpet and Cantorion y Winllan under the direction of Dr. Hywel Lewis. The concert was introduced by Beti George and Robin Jones. The concert closed with Iona Jones joining the choir in Gounod's SANCTUS.
There were several overseas visitors in the audience who were treated to a truely memorable feast of Welsh musical culture.
