Pontarddulais Male Choir joined forces with the Wessex Male Choir and soprano Iona Jones at a memorial concert for the late Noel Davies. The concert was hailed a great success with extra seating having to be put out to cater for the capacity audience.
Pontarddulais Male Choir and The Wessex Male Choir met at Llangollen in 2004 when Pontarddulais Male Choir won first prize in the Male Choral Competition and Wessex came a very close third place beating all other English entries.
This concert saw the best of both Welsh and English Choirs on stage together. The Choirs have struck an instant friendship and the choir will travel to Swindon next year for a reciprocal concert with the Wessex Choir.
