Following a very succesful Concert held at Pontarddulais where Elin Manahan Thomas and her Husband Robert Davies performed with the choir raising in excess of £5000 for the Parkinson's Disease Unit at Gorseinon Hospital the choir invited Elin to become one of it's Honorary Patrons. She glady accepted saying she always wanted her own Choir.
The Concert which was held as one of the Noel Davies Memorial Concerts was instigated by Elin who wanted to raise funds for the Unit at Gorseinon. Elin also ran the London Marathon the previous week raising over £3,500
