The choir is proud to have won the male voice competition again at the 2004 Llangollen International Eisteddfod. The competition was made up of 11 choirs, 5 from Wales, 5 from England and 1 from Iceland. Five out of the eleven entrants were previous Llangollen winners.
The test piece was Bonjour Mon Coeur - Orlando diLasso and the choir sang as its own choice; Gloria by William Mathias (which was commissioned by the choir in 1970 and also given its first performance at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea in the same year) and Bywyd y Bugail by Brian Hughes.
